1 Provide yourself with used pillowcase, any other fabric will be fine, on which you have slept at least one night, and preferably dreamt.
2 Decide the shape and size of the Cape, any shape is fine, sew the sides.
3 With a thick ribbon prepare two pieces that will be able to be assembled together with a small square of velcro and can then be sewn on the cape. (anti-choke solution)
4 Embroider, sew, puncture, mend, draw with a fabric pen your Superheroine or Superhero name and the number of days spent in quarantine during the Pandemic.
5 Write and/or sew (embroidering, sewing letters made of fabric or with a fabric pen, every technique is fine) the superpowers you have developed during quarantine and the ones you would like to develop in future (everything counts).
6 Take a photo of someone who lives with you wearing the cape at home / Take a photo of yourself wearing the cape in a public space (when possible).
Superheroes are not allowed to be recognized, it’s part of the game. To take pictures it’s necessary to cover your face, you can cover it with a book (as if you were reading), every other strategy or disguise (glasses, make mustaches, masks, wigs, hair, take a picture from behind, digital alterations) is encouraged.
7 OPEN DANCE FLOOR FOR SUPERHEROINE AND SUPERHERO
When the Coronavirus will be no longer a sanitary issue and we will be able to hug each other amongst friends and strangers, organize a musical runway show/ dance competition/ open space disco for Superheroines and Superheroes in your neighborhood and document it.
In the meantime you can rehearse at home.
The future belongs to everyone, let’s reclaim it!
*people older than 18 can participate as kind helpers, if authorized by a underage person, age becomes superfluous and they may have their own cape.
