Matrioska Sculpture
Instructions
I assume that I should use objects and materials that anyone has at home, without any possibility of obtaining others elsewhere, due to the quarantine.
Anyone of us has in their home glass containers, glasses or anything else transparent or colored, therefore:
1) look for these objects in the house, attic, cellar, thus practicing a sort of home archeology, perhaps finding forgotten memories or things thought lost.
2) after collecting the glass, try to overlap one glass with the other, from the smallest to the largest, following your own aesthetic taste, based on the combinations that can be created.
3) photograph, draw or simply watch the work done.
Bio
Massimo De Caria (1968, Naples) lives and works in Milan.
Massimo de Caria’s work is part of a genealogy that we could ascribe to the fate of anti-sculpture: from Melotti to today, passing through Zorio and looking occasionally at Tinguely.
