Bio
Pierpaolo Lista (Salerno 1977) graduated from the Liceo Artistico di Eboli. He lives in Paestum and works between Naples and Milan.
The first visual language he used was painting. After investigating different materials, he chose glass as his pictorial support. He works on the back of the glass plate with brushstrokes, scratches and engravings on the colour backgrounds. In 2007 he also embarked on a photographic journey. To make the images, he reconstructed in his studio a fictitious reality populated by objects made with poor materials (paper, spun iron, string).
His work is a practice of reconstruction of uninhabited scenarios, bare environments, reproduction of objects represented by essential lines.
His first solo painting exhibition was inaugurated in 2003 in Pavia and curated by Mariangela Calisti, who invited him to the group show at Palazzo Bottigella Gandini in 2014.
In Rome he held two solo painting exhibitions curated by Angelo Trimarco and Gillo Dorfles respectively, followed by a solo exhibition of photographs at the Lavatoio Contumaciale in collaboration with the Fondazione Filiberto Menna and a group show at the Galleria Mac Maja Arte Contemporanea.

He shows, for the first time together, the pictorial and photographic works in the solo show at the Galleria Milano in Milan curated by Carla Pellegrini and with the same gallery participates at Miart.
Galleria Zak in Monteriggioni presents his work at The Others art fair in Turin and Galleria Dino Morra Arte Contemporanea, Naples at the Setup fair in Bologna.
