Instructions for the realization :
Introduction:
At the end of the 18th century Antonio Canova, beside the final finishing touches, having shaped the sketch in clay, commissioned the stonemasons to realize the work in marble. Revisiting the role of the artist, I consider the child Canova, reserving the role of stonemason for me, realizing in a giant dimension the subject proposed by the childlike naturalness. The talent shifts from the ability to realize to the relational capacity.
Instructions:
1- Play with a child, (the best age group is preschool) let him/her tell you a story, get in relationship with him/her, provide a simple A4 sheet of paper with markers or similar, it will certainly give you a drawing. 2- Photograph or scan the sketch/painting. 3- Prepare on the wall about 50 A4 sheets to obtain a surface that allows the enlargement of the drawn subject of about 10 times. 4- Project the photo of the drawing on the sheets and make the enlargement in tempera. (If the projector is not available, use the grid technique).
N.B. Given the current difficulty for the human contacts, the relationship with the child can also be virtual, however a drawing can result from the relationship.
